Westminster College Volleyball Falls to Webster University

The Lady Blue Jays fell to SLIAC conference rival Webster University on Sept. 26. Webster University’s defeat broke Westminster’s SLIAC conference win streak, as they were undefeated coming into Wednesday’s game.
Westminster lost 3-0 to Webster, but played some tough, close sets. The Lady Blue Jays were defeated 25-23 in the first set, and 25-16 in the second set. In the final set, Westminster lost 26-24, a very tight game in which the Gorloks were forced into extra points by a strong Blue Jay defense.
The volleyball team travelled to Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, Sept. 29, to battle Spalding University. Westminster came out on top winning 3-1. The ladies in blue won the first two sets and lost the third set. In the fourth set, they defeated Spalding 25-20. This win brought the team to a conference record of 8-1.
